Hughie Lewis Fury (born 18 September 1994)[1] is a British heavyweight professional boxer, fighting out Manchester, England, signed to Hennessy Sports. He has represented England at amateur level and won the gold medal in the 2012 Youth World Amateur Boxing Championships being the first ever British fighter to do it at super heavyweight,[3] before turning professional next year.[2] Fury was born in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England into a family of Irish Traveller heritage.[4] He is the cousin of Tyson Fury.[4] The two cousins stated that they are aiming to become 'the new Klitschkos' and dominate the heavyweight division.[5] Both are trained by Hughie's father, Peter Fury.[4]
