Hugh of Noara also known as Ugo of Novara and Hugo of Novara was Cistercian Benedictine monk, a disciple of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux. French[1] by birth, he served as first abbot at Novara abbey, Sicily.[2] There Hugh remained until his death in 1170.
