Hugh Gore (bishop)
Hugh Gore , DD (1613-1691[1]) was a seventeenth century Irish Anglican priest.[2][3]
He was born in Maiden Newton and educated at Trinity College, Dublin. After this he held livings in Nicholaston and Oxwich. He became Dean of Lismore in 1664;[2] and was Bishop of Waterford and Lismore [4] from 1666 until his death.[5]
There is a school named after him in Swansea.[6]
