Hubert Anyiam (born January 19, 1989) is an American football Wide Receiver for the Oklahoma Defenders of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL). He played college football at the Oklahoma State University.

High school career

Anyiam caught 60 passes covering 1,058 yards as a senior with 12 touchdowns and also rushed for 250 yards. His junior season, he had 48 receptions for 990 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was a PrepStar All-American selection, A SuperPrep all-region selection and rated as the No. 69 prospect in Texas by that service. Rivals ranked him as the nation's No. 32 receiving prospect and No. 76 among all players in the state of Texas. Rated by Scout as one of the top 100 receivers in the country and by the southwest. Houston Chronicle Top 100 honoree and Texas Football magazine top 300 pick. He was also all-district pick in basketball.[1]

College career

Hubert was redshirted in 2007. He had his first reception as a freshman in 2008 against Missouri State and played in 12 games (every game but Baylor). In 2009, his sophomore year he led the Cowboys with 42 catches and 515 receiving yards after entering the season with three career catches. He tied for second on the team with 3 TD grabs. Junior season in 2010 started slow as he recovered from a spring injury.

Professional career

On May 21, 2012, Carolina Panthers UDFA sign Anyiam and release him later in the year.

On November 26, 2013, Anyiam was signed by the Oklahoma Defenders of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League for their upcoming season that kicks-off on March 1, 2014

Personal life

Hubert is the son of Philip and Comfort Anyiam. He majored in Economics at Oklahoma State University
