Howe Street is a hamlet near the A130 road and the River Chelmer, in the parish of Great Waltham, in the Chelmsford District, in the county of Essex. It is 6 miles north of the City of Chelmsford. It has a small population of less than 200, and has a 14th Century Freehold Pub (One of the oldest in Essex) called The Green Man, which is opening early 2015. It is one of several listed buildings in the hamlet.
There is some light industry and an active farm.
