Hortonia floribunda is a species of plant in the Monimiaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
lanceolate to oval, acute base.
Trunk
branches long, glabrous.
Flowers
yellow; Inflorescence - nearly sessile axillary racemes and panicles.
Fruits
dark crimson, ovoid, mcuh compressed, obliquely pointed, very pulpy.

montane and rain forest understory and fringes
Culture
Known as "වෑවිය - wewiya" in Sinhala.
