Horsfield's treeshrew
Horsfield's treeshrew or Javan treeshrew (Tupaia javanica) is a treeshrew species of the Tupaiidae family. It is endemic to Indonesia.[2]
First described by Thomas Horsfield in 1822, the habitat requirements of Horsfield's treeshrew are still undocumented. The species can be found on several Indonesian islands: Bali, Java, West Sumatra, and Nias. Several subspecies have been proposed based on variation in colourisation; however, colour is an unreliable distinguishing character.[3]
