The Hoosier Crossroads Conference is a member conference of the Indiana High School Athletic Association. Teams first competed in the conference in the 2000-2001 school year. The HCC contains seven high schools in the Indianapolis Metropolitan Area. There are 2 schools in Hendricks County, 1 in Boone County, and 4 in Hanilton County.

After the 2014-2015 school year IHSAA has decided to disband the conference and merge the HCC schools and the MIC (Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference) in the 2015-2016 school year. The conference will then consist of Avon, Brownsburg, Westfield, Zionsville, Hamilton Southeastern, Fishers, Noblesville, Carmel, Pike High, Lawrence Central, Larence North, North Central, Warren Central, and dominant, Ben Davis. It will be a 14 team conference probably split into two divisions.

All schools are 6A in football (Except Westfield, and Zionsville, who are 5A) 2A in soccer, and 4A in all other class sports.

History

The conference started in 2000, as the West division of the Olympic Conference (Brownsburg, Hamilton Southeastern, Harrison, McCutcheon, and Noblesville) joined with two schools from the folding Rangeline Conference (Westfield and Zionsville) and one from the Mid-State Conference (Avon). The only changes since have been Lafayette Jeff joining in 2004 from the North Central Conference, and Fishers joining upon reopening in 2006.

In December 2012, the Indianapolis-area schools met and voted to cut ties with the Tippecanoe County schools after the 2013-14 school year due to transportation costs, travel time, differences in school size and competitive balance. The Lafayette area schools joined the North Central Conference.[1]
