Homs District
Homs District (Arabic: منطقة حمص / ALA-LC: Minṭaqat Ḥimṣ) is a district (mantiqah) administratively belonging to Homs Governorate, Syria. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 944,916.[1] Its administrative centre is the city of Homs.
Sub-districts
The district of Homs is divided into ten sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):
- Homs Nahiyah (ناحية حمص): population 750,501.[2]
- Khirbet Tin Nur Nahiyah (ناحية خربة تين نور): population 52,879.[3]
- Ayn al-Niser Nahiyah (ناحية عين النسر): population 30,267.[4]
- Furqlus Nahiyah (ناحية الفرقلس): population 13,506.[5]
- Al-Riqama Nahiyah (ناحية رقاما): population 20,602.[6]
- Al-Qaryatayn Nahiyah (ناحية القريتين): population 16,795.[7]
- Mahin Nahiyah (ناحية مهين): population 13,511.[8]
- Hisyah Nahiyah (ناحية حسياء): population 15,195.[9]
- Sadad Nahiyah (ناحية صدد): population 4,092.[10]
