Homochitto is a ghost town in Issaquena County, Mississippi.[1]

Homochitto was a plantation located directly on the Mississippi River.[2]

Homochitto Plantation was owned by Stephen Duncan.[3] In 1865, following the abolition of slavery, a number of freedman were listed at the Homochitto Plantation.[4]

Nothing remains of the former settlement.
