Holy Cross Church (San Jose, California)

The Holy Cross Church is a Catholic church, serving the Holy Cross Parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Jose in California. It was located in San Jose, California, and was constructed in 1919, and dedicated in 1920.[1] The church was damaged significantly by a fire on 16 November 2014. The church's 10 foot antique Italian gilded wood crucifix was recovered, untouched, from the building, after the fire.[2]

Parish history

The parish was founded in 1906 to serve Italian immigrants in the north side neighborhood of San Jose.[3]
