Holocentrus adscensionis is a squirrelfish of the Holocentridae family.
It is found in the Western Atlantic, from North Carolina, USA, and Bermuda to Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico and throughout the West Indies and Caribbean shores. In the Eastern Atlantic, it can be found near Gabon, Angola, St. Paul's Rocks, St. Helena and Ascension Island.[2]
