Hollie Andrew is an Australian actress and filmmaker.[1]

Career

Andrew starred with Abbie Cornish and Sam Worthington in the AFI Award winning Somersault where Andrew herself was nominated for an AFI as best supporting actress in her role as Bianca in 2004.[2] She then appeared in satirical ABC comedy series Double the Fist[3] and featured in two series of BBC/UKTV comedy series Supernova as Dr Jude Wardlaw. In June 2009 she starred in a production of Metro Street in Korea with Debra Byrne, adding to her catalogue of musical theatre work.

Andrew was born and brought up in Adelaide and was subsequently based in Los Angeles.[4] In 2013, Andrews was reported to be moving back to Australia from LA after being cast in the Channel 9 TV series Fat Tony and a new stage version of Wogboys.[5] She lives in Melbourne.[1]

Before taking on roles such as Gretel Killeen (in Zombie form), a blunt Beyoncé and a myriad of dancers who think they’re pretty good, Andrew graduated from Perth's Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts with a major in musical theatre.

Television

Andrew is a cast member of the sketch comedy TV series Double Take.[6] Other television credits include CNNNN, Life Support, Home and Away, Supernova, Double the Fist, and All Saints.

Stage

Stage credits are The Adventure Of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, directed by Neil Armfield (Company B); Wrong Turn at Lungfish[7] & Ruby Sunrise[8] (Ensemble Theatre), Hair! (Production Company), Jumping The Q and 5th At Randwick (Naked Theatre Company), The Last Five Years (Echelon Productions), and Music by Moonlight Concert Series conducted by George Ellis at Sydney Olympic Park. Andrew performed alongside Casey Donovan and Christine Anu in the Company B and the Black Swan Theatre production of The Sapphires.[9] In 2014 she toured Australia with Nick Giannopoulos, Vince Colosimo, Frank Lotito & Alex Dimitriades for WOGBOYS.

Short Film

Andrew's short film credits include; Love and Contempt (Jo Mitchell Productions), Second Draft (Housebound Productions), Anniversary (Michael Neild).

Awards

Education

Andrew graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts (Musical Theatre) after completing an Honours Degree in Drama at Flinders University (SA) in 1999.
