Hofer Symphoniker

Hofer Symphoniker (Hofer Concert Orchestra) is a major orchestra based in Hof, Germany.

List of events in chronological order:'

• In 1945, Karl F. Keller founded 'Hofer Konzertorchester'.

• In 1965, Wilfried Anton assumed directorship of Hofer Symphoniker and is largely responsible for the reputation and success of the current symphony.

• In 1978, Hofer Symphoniker opened their own school of music, used to train future talents. As such, it is the only school of music in all of Germany that is attached to a professional symphony orchestra.

• In 1994 the new Hof Theatre (Theater Hof) was completed as the orchestra's home venue, where they perform concerts, operas and ballet. The theatre also serves as a multi-purpose venue for drama productions and other performances.
