The hoary catshark, Apristurus canutus, is a catshark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the western central Atlantic from the Leeward Islands off Antigua and Anguilla, at depths between 521 and 915 m. Its length is up to 45.5 cm. The reproduction of this catshark is oviparous.
