Hiroshi Kataoka
Hiroshi Kataoka (片岡 洋 Kataoka Hiroshi) is a japanese game designer, director, producer, and is currently the senior creative officer at Sega.[1][2]
Hiroshi Kataoka joined Sega in 1992. The first title he worked on was Virtua Racing, along with Yu Suzuki and Toshihiro Nagoshi. His credits as director include Fighting Vipers in 1995, Sonic the Fighters and Fighters Megamix in 1996, Fighting Vipers 2 in 1998 and Outtrigger in 1999.[3] Virtua Fighter 3 was the last game Yu Suzuki directed. With Virtua Fighter 4, Kataoka took responsibility for the series, and was resonsible for making Virtua Fighter 4 the very first arcade game with internet functionality. In 2001, he was promoted to the position of presidency of SEGA-AM2. Since 2005, he holds the position of general manager of Sega's entire arcade division. In 2009, he was appointed to the group of officers.
