Hip Hip Hurray created and directed by Nupur Asthana, was one of the most popular Hindi television series that first aired on Zee TV channel in 1998, and after its success of the first season, the series began its second sequel in 2001. It was produced by Zarina Mehta, UTV.

Plot
The story is based on the lives of 12th grade students at the DeNobili High School and revolves around their adventures, their fears and hopes, their relationships and interactions. Besides that the story also focuses on issues pertinent for the younger generation such as dating, careers, causes, health, exams, in a slice of life manner.
The first season contained 80 episodes and the second contained around 55 episodes. The first season captured the intricate lives of teenagers and their trials and tribulations with rare sensitivity and humor. It became a huge hit and is remembered today as a cult TV show.[1][2]

The 1st season comprising 80 episodes was directed by Nupur Asthana who also conceived it and wrote the screenplay. Dialogues were by Vinay Pathak. Background music by Mahesh Tinaikar. Title track by Louis Banks, sung by K.K. and Hema Sardesai.
Ricky Sandhu has directed 28 episodes of the 2nd season. [4]
Location
The external building scenes and the playground area scenes are shot at St. Mary's school, Mazgaon, Mumbai. Some of the classroom scenes of this series were shot at Rajhans Vidyalaya, Mumbai.
