Hinduja Global Solutions, is a pure play business process outsourcing service provider headquartered in Bangalore,[1] and part of the Hinduja Group. Formerly known as HTMT Global, the company re-branded itself as HGS in line with the group policy. It has 24000+ employees world wide with a large employee base in India. It has presence in about 10+ countries including Philippines, USA, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Mauritius, UAE and Jamaica. In India, it has more than 50+ "delivery centers" including major cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and growing cities like Mysore, Nagercoil, Durgapur, Siliguri, and Guntur.[2]

History

The history of HGS (Hinduja Global Solutions) goes back to the year 1993, when they started off under the name ALIT (Ashok Leyland Information Technology), providing information technology services. Their initial days had a total of 25 employees and served just one client. In 2000, ALIT merged with Hinduja Finance Corporation (HFC) to form HGS. A major chunk of their international clients was formed in between 2000 and 2003. These included customers in the Insurance & Telecom industries.

2003 was a milestone for HGS in terms of garnering international customers, with the establishment of a center in Manila. HGS acquired Customer Contact Center Inc., a call center company located in the Philippines. In 2006, HGS acquired AFFINA LLC, a contact center and database management and marketing research company and in 2010, UK-based Careline Services, another contact center management services provider, was acquired.

HGS is a public limited company, listed on both the leading stock exchanges in India, the National Stock Exchange(NSE)and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
