Hillsong Church Cape Town is a Pentecostal Christian church affiliated with the Assemblies of God and is the South African offshoot of Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. The church is pastored by former Hillsong United pastor Phil Dooley who moved to Cape Town in March 2008.
Pastor
The head Pastor of the church is Phil Dooley, an Australian who grew up in Castle Hill in North Western Sydney where he attended Castle Hill High School and has been a member the Hillsong movement for over thirty years holding positions including pastor of Hillsong United. He and his wife Lucinda were youth leaders at Hillsong Church in Sydney from their twenties and moved with their family to Cape Town in March 2008.[1] Lucinda was formerly assistant to Hillsong Pastor Donna Crouch.
