Hilari Scarl
Hilari Scarl is the director/producer of the documentary [1] See What I'm Saying: The Deaf Entertainers Documentary,[2] starring Bob Hiltermann, TL Forsberg, CJ Jones and Robert DeMayo[3]
The New York Times called See What I'm Saying "Complex, candid and all-but-essential viewing for hearing audiences".[4][5]
Variety said See What I'm Saying is "An outstanding documentary exploration of the travails of four deaf entertainers, Hilari Scarls' `See What I'm Saying' provides a glimpse into a performance circuit that few hearing-enabled Americans likely realize exists."[6]
Scarl was one of the 50 filmmakers chosen by Steven Spielberg out of 12,000 directors for his TV show 'On the Lot' on FOX[7][8] and made it to the final 19.[9]
Scarl is a board member of the Alliance of Women Directors.[10]
