Hiko Springs, Nevada

Hiko Springs in 1871

Hiko Springs (also spelled Hyko Springs) is located in the farming community of Hiko, Lincoln County, Nevada. Its cool waters flowing out of the desert hillside provide the basis for the very existence of a community in this extremely arid location.

Hiko Springs supplies irrigation water for about a 5 mile stretch of farms and a Nevada State game reserve, the Key Pittman Wildlife Management Area, containing two small lakes (the Nesbitt Lake and the Frenchie Lake) in the north end of Pahranagat Valley.
