"Hey School Boy" is a single from the band Stefy. It is the second track and single on the debut album The Orange Album. It was written by Stefy Rae and Mimi Jakobson.

Music video

The video for the song features Stefy in a window display and lounging in a chair auditioning guys for the group's video while showing her and the band performing the song in a warehouse. It was directed by Nigel Dick who is known for directing videos for people such as Britney Spears and Nickelback.

Promotion

On November 7, Stefy and Wind-up Records announced the launch of "The 15 Seconds of Fame with Stefy" contest on YouTube. The contest delivers the opportunity for Stefy fans and/or anyone with a video cam to submit their most creative and outrageous dance moves for a chance to be featured in the video. The video premiered on MTV with a 30 minute broadcast. This half-hour broadcast titled "Stefy: The Orange Special," was made possible by a winning bid made by Wind Up Records at a recent charity auction benefiting LIFEbeat, an organization dedicated to reaching America's youth with the message of HIV/AIDS prevention. LIFEbeat mobilizes the talents and resources of the music industry to raise awareness and provide support to the AIDS community.

Chart performance

Unlike the first single Chelsea Hey School Boy did not chart anywhere where it was released and was a failure despite heavy promotion. Because of it no more singles were released form The Orange Album although videos were made by Stefy herself.
