The airline was established and started operations in 1994.[1]

The Hevilift fleet includes[2] the ATR 42-320/500 and DHC-6-300/400 Twin Otter fixed wing aircraft, the Bell 412, Bell 212, Bell 206, Bell 407, Sikorsky 76C+/C++ and the Mil-8MTV-1 rotary wing aircraft.

Hevilift offers a snack and drink on all flights across Papua new Guinea. All flights have only economy class.

Accidents and Incidents

20 September 2014 - A Hevilift Twin Otter (P2-KSF) crashed on landing near Port Moresby, New Guinea. Of the nine people on board, four were killed (including both crew) and five were injured.
