Harriet "Hetti" Bywater[2] (born 13 October 1994[3]) is an English actress from Eastbourne, England. Born to parents originally from Swansea, Wales, Bywater began her career in 2011, making guest appearances in Casualty and Doctors. She has also starred in the St George's Day film. However, Bywater is best known for playing Lucy Beale in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2012–15.[4] In 2015, Bywater will star in the fourth series of Death in Paradise.
On 19 February 2015, Bywater reprised her role in EastEnders as Lucy in a flashback episode which revealed what happened on the night Lucy died.[5]
