Herman Tumurcuoglu

Herman Tumurcuoglu is a Canadian Internet entrepreneur, consultant, author and lecturer. He is best known for originating Search syndication in 1999.

In 1995, he got the idea to commercialize a search tool on the web which would aggregate results from the top search engines. In 1996, he launched one of the web's first tier 2 metasearch engine called Mamma.com.[1][2] This engine was made as a Master’s thesis at Carleton University in 1995.[3] Majority interest in the company was acquired for $25 Million in 1999. Herman sold the rest of his shares in 2001.[4] He continued his career consulting E-commerce companies and started lecturing at McGill University and Concodia’s John Molson School of Business.[5]

In 2014, he became a founding partner at a search engine reputation management firm.[6][7]
