Heritage Square/Arroyo Station (or simply Heritage Square) is an at-grade light rail station in the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system. It is located at the intersection of French Avenue and Pasadena Avenue in northeast Los Angeles, California. The station is served by the Gold Line.[1]
The station is situated in the valley between Montecito Heights and Mount Washington. It is adjacent to the Pasadena (110) Freeway.
During the construction and planning stages, Heritage Square station was originally planned to be named French station, after nearby French Avenue. It was one of three stations to be renamed shortly before the lines opening. It was then renamed to Heritage Square/Arroyo nearby Heritage Square Museum and the Arroyo Seco stream/watershed. Metro now refers to the station by the shorter Heritage Square.
