Herbie Helbig

Herbie Helbig is a Canadian pianist, harpsichordist, and composer of German birth. He studied music composition and piano at The Royal Conservatory of Music with Samuel Dolin[1] and privately in Toronto with Gordon Delamont.[2] He is best known for his work as a concert pianist and film and television score composer in Canada.[3] He is also a writer of jingles for Canadian television and radio.[4] Appearing on the piano, Helbig made a LP recording in 1969 titled A Classical gas.[5] From 1971-1984 he was the pianist for the children's television show Polka Dot Door.
