Herbert Perez
Herbert Perez is a former US Olympian in taekwando and politician. Herbert was born in 1969.[1] Herbert Perez was a Gold medalist in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.[2]
Personal Life
Herb Perez was born in New York City and attended law school at Rutgers Law School.[1] He did his undergraduate degree at William Paterson University.[3] and earned a Masters at the University of Lyons.[4] Perez became a City Councilman for Foster City,[3] where he is the owner of Gold Medal Martial Arts.[5]
Martial Arts
In addition to his Winning the Gold Medal in 1992 Olympics Perez had an opportunity to become a member of the 1988 Olympics, but missed it due to a mental error.[6]
He competed at both the 1987 and 1991 World Taekwondo Championships, winning that Bronze medal each time.
As team head in the 2008 Summer Olympics he became involved in a scoring controversy.
He participated in the WMAC Masters event.
