Hemalkasa is a village in the Bhamragad taluka of Gadchiroli district in Maharashtra State, India.[1]
It is a village belonging to the Madia Gond community.[2] It is the place where the famous Magsaysay Award winner couple Dr. Prakash Baba Amte & Dr. Mandakini Amte manage the Lok Biradari Prakalp project.[3]

Biopic film, starring Nana Patekar, as Dr. Prakash Amte and Sonali Kulkarni as Dr. Mandakini Amte - Dr Prakash Baba Amte : The Real Hero, released on 10th October, 2014.[4]The film has been released in three languages Hindi, Marathi and English and shows the biopic of the living legend.
