Hector, Ohio

Hector is an unincorporated community in Putnam County, in the U.S. state of Ohio.[1]

History

A post office called Hector was established in 1883, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1900.[2] Hector contained a stave factory, but once the local forests (and wood supply) were cleared, the community entered a decline.[3]
