Hebei North University
Hebei North University (abbreviation: HBNU or HebeiNU; Chinese: 河北北方学院; Héběi běifāng xuéyuàn) is a multi-faculty university in Zhangjiakou, Hebei, China under the provincial government.
Hebei North University is a provincially administrated multi-faculty university, which can grant Bachelors Academic Degree and Master Academic Degree. The University was founded in May 2003 after approval by the Ministry of Education. It comprises three former provincially administrated institutions of higher learning in Zhangjiakou:
- Zhangjiakou Medical College (ZJKMC)
- Zhangjiakou Teachers College (ZJKTC)
- Zhangjiakou Advanced Post-secondary Agriculture School (ZJKAPAS)
It is the only multi-faculty university in the north of Hebei Province.
About
Hebei North University (河北北方学院座落) has a school of Medical Sciences, College of Medical Laboratory, Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Institute of Animal Sciences, Information Science and Engineering College, College of Agriculture and Forestry, College of Liberal Arts, College of Foreign Languages, College of the Arts, College of Law and Politics, College of Economics and Management.
The College possess a library with over 1.4 million volumes. The teaching and office complex occupies a total space of 80, 000 square meters and a new campus was built in 2007 budgeting 300 million RMB in investments. It has a research facility and seven advanced laboratories in which provincial experiments are demonstrated in.
It is well known for its multi-cultural environment as it has trained over 40, 000 students from 29 different countries.
