Heather Baker (born October 9, 1984)[1] is a female American singer, songwriter and guitarist, and founder of the band The Afterlife. She is currently touring with the all-female tribute band The Iron Maidens (billed as the "World's Only Female Tribute to Iron Maiden").

Biography

In 2004, Heather Baker and a group of friends formed the band As Night Falls releasing their debut EP The End of All Innocence in 2004. [2][3]

In February 2007, Baker joined The Iron Maidens (World's Only Female Tribute to Iron Maiden). She joined vocalist Aja Kim, guitarist Sara Marsh, bassist Wanda Ortiz and drummer Linda McDonald as part of the Maidens' 2007-2008 lineup. As a member of the Maidens, her stage name was "Adrienne Smith," a female version of Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith.

In late June 2008, The Iron Maidens' official website announced that Baker had departed from the band to focus on family commitments and her solo career.[4]

In mid-February, Baker was contracted for artist Kerli (Island Def Jam) to perform on behalf of the "Alice In Wonderland" Premiere in Hollywood. In late-February 2010, following the departure of Marsh, Baker rejoined the Maidens for a handful of shows under the alias "Dee Murray".
