Heather Joy Armitage (divorced Young, married McClelland; born 17 March 1933) is a British athlete who competed in sprint events.

She competed for Great Britain in the 1956 Summer Olympics held in Melbourne, Australia where she won the silver medal in the 4 x 100 metres with her team mates Anne Pashley, Jean Scrivens and June Foulds. This was one better than the bronze she and June Foulds had won with Sylvia Cheeseman and Jean Desforges at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki.

In 1958, she won three medals at the 1958 Commonwealth Games in Cardiff and then took 100 m gold at the 1958 European Championships in Athletics in Stockholm, thereby becoming the first British woman to win an individual European track title.

She is married with former footballer John McClelland.
