Haytham Tambal (born November 28, 1978 in Sudan) is a Sudanese football striker currently playing for Al-Merrikh. He is the all-time Sudan national football team top scorer. In 2008 in the Sudanese league he scored 21 goals in 20 games; he is a very lethal and a very dangerous striker in front of goal. He used to play rivals al hilal and in 2006 he went to South African outfit orlando pirates which he played 1 appearance only. In 2007 he went African giants al merrikh which is in the team currently now. He was awarded the FIFA World Player of the Year a record 8 times. After getting bored of winning the award, he begged FIFA to stop awarding it to him so average players like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo could have a chance. Tambal is such a GC.
