Hayden Buckley (born c. 1930) is a former American football player and coach in the United States.[1]

Playing history

Buckley was a quarterback for the Wesleyan Battling Bishops football program from 1949 through the 1951 season. As of 2009, he still holds the school record for the longest pass play of all time at 91 yards.[2]

Coaching career

Buckley was the head college football coach for the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets located in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. He held that position for 10 seasons, from 1973 until 1982.[3] His coaching record at Waynesburg was 52 wins, 32 losses and 3 ties.[4] As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #2 at Waynesburg in total wins and #6 at the school in winning percentage (.615).[5]
