This town was named after Bahadar Shah belonged to Banu Hashim tribe of Saudi Arabia.his ancestor was Shah Rukn-e-Alam(noori hazoori).Shah rukn e alam was the grandson of Bahauddin Zakariyya(famous saint) whose tomb is the symbol of the city of Multan.It is a well known town of district Jhang. Dominant tribe is Qureshi Hashmi.Raees abbas shah lives here.he is a prominent personality of native tribe.
