Harriet ("Hatti") Archer (née Dean) (born 2 February 1982 in Oxford, England) is a British long-distance runner. She was educated at the School of St Helen and St Katharine in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Dean set three National records in the 3000m Steeplechase in 2007, most notably at a rain soaked event at Don Valley Stadium in July of that year.[1] She represented her country in the World Cross Country Championships in Fukuoka in 2006 and in Mombasa in 2007 where she was 15th and the top British finisher. She earned selection for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing but was unable to compete due to a stress fracture to her ankle[2] but in July 2010 Dean ran in the 3000m Steeplechase at the 2010 European Athletics Championships in Barcelona where she took over 8 seconds off her personal best time, finishing 4th in the final. In 2010 Hatti finished 7th and top British finisher in the European Cross-Country Championships in Albufeira, Portugal and came 21st in the 2011 World Cross-Country Championships in Punta Umbria, Spain.
