Hatfield is a suburb in Pretoria, South Africa with a high density of students and student accommodation due its proximity to the University of Pretoria's main campus.

Although most of the pubs, bars and clubs on Hatfield square have already closed down, a few are still open and Eastwoods on Eastwood street - close to Loftus, is an ideal choice close by.

Word is that the Hatfield square will soon include a residential building for student accommodation. Start and completion date for the project are not yet known.
As there 3 new residential student buildings going up in close proximity to the Hatfield square, namely Duncan Court on Park Street and Hatfield Studios on Burnett Street it would seem that there is some truth to this info.
Facilities
Hatfield Plaza is a local shopping centre, housing the area's major grocery and convenience store, a Pick 'n Pay. Recent developments have seen the construction of a second shopping centre combined with high-rise residential buildings, jointly named The Fields. Hatfield also houses one of the main stations for the Gautrain, South Africa's premiere mass rapid transit railway. Burger King & Dominos Pizza in the fields are 2 American fast foods restaurants which have recently opened in Hatfield.
