Hatchville is a neighborhood within the town of Falmouth, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod in the United States. The mailing address for the area is East Falmouth, to the south of Hatchville.
Geography
Hatchville is located in the northern part of the town of Falmouth, on the north side of Coonamessett Pond. Massachusetts Route 151 (Nathan Ellis Highway) runs through the community, leading east into Mashpee and west to North Falmouth, ending at Massachusetts Route 28 in each direction. The elevation of Hatchville is 92 feet (28 m) above sea level. Hatchville is a very small village that is mainly made up of rural, low-populated land. The Otis Air National Guard Base is located on the northern edge of Hatchville on the border with the neighboring town of Sandwich and Bourne.
The Barnstable County Fairgrounds are located in Hatchville near the Mashpee town line and host many types of shows, auctions, events, and fairs, including the Barnstable County Fair, the largest annual fair in Barnstable County, during the last week of July every year.
Hatchville is the home of the Frances A. Crane Wildlife Area, one of the largest wildlife preserves on Cape Cod. The wildlife preserve is located on the south side of Route 151 in the east part of Hatchville.
