Hassan Abshenasan (Persian: حسن آبشناسان) was mount commandos and major ground forces commander in Iran-Iraq war. Also, He was commander of Hamzeh Division II commandos, Seyyedo Shohada Base, and teacher of military university. Hassan was born on 1936 in Tehran.[1] He started his education in Tehran and graduated from high school in 1957. Abshenasan entered military university and graduated with Second Lieutenant degree in 1960. During 1960 to 1977, participated in Commando and Parachuting training course in Iran and Scotland. Abshenasan was proficient in athletics, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, swimming, horse riding and judo.[2][3] In 29 September 1985, he was killed in Operation Ghader during Iran-Iraq war.[3]Abshenasan Expressway in Tehran provinces is named after him.[4]

Old Guerilla book

Old Guerilla book is biography of Hassan Abshenasan for young readers to know his life. The book was written by Mozhgan Hazratian Fumm and published by Soureh Sabz Publishing Institute. Author asserted that: "courage, persistence and religious confidence were Abshenasan’s outstanding personal traits."[6]

Documentary film about Hassan Abshenasan's life is producing by Masoud Imami. The film have several interview with his family and his friend during Iran-Iraq war. For showing different angles of his life especially for remaking the scene of fighting in Iran-Iraq war, use computerized simulation.[7][8]

Death

In 1985, he was killed in Sarsul Kelashin area in Iraq by Grad missiles quiver.[9]
