The Harvard Club of Washington DC is a private social club operating in Washington, DC.[2] Its membership is essentially restricted to alumni and associates of Harvard University.[3][1]
History and Operations
The Harvard Club of Washington, DC is the third most popular social club in its class in Georgetown.[4][1]
Currentlly, Yi-Fun Hsueh (A.B. '87, J.D. '91) is the president.[5]
Membership
Membership is restricted to recipients of degrees from Harvard University, current students who have participated in an academic program at Harvard University of at least six-week duration, parents of current students or graduates of Harvard University, spouses of current or deceased members of the Club, and those who have completed at least one academic year at Harvard University as a professor, instructor, or officer.[6] Dues for students and alumni are on a sliding scale, based on the number of years since participation in, or completion of, a qualifying academic program at Harvard University.[6] As is usual for private clubs, members of the Club are given reciprocal benefits at 130 clubs around the United States and the world.
