Harry 'Doc' Kloor is an American scientist and businessman. Kloor was the first person to earn two PhDs simultaneously in two distinct academic disciplines. He holds PhDs in Physics and in Chemistry.^{[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]}

Background

Kloor is the CEO of Loarz Inc and CEO of Jupiter 9 Productions. Kloor is also one of the founders of Rocket Racing League, and served on the founding team for Singularity University, where he still serves as a media advisor. Kloor taught at the first summer session of Singularity University in 2009. He was also the chief science advisor for the X Prize Organization, advising X Prize Chairman and CEO Dr. Peter H. Diamandis on science and technology issues. In 2011, Kloor was selected to serve as one of the chairs for DARPA's 100 Year Starship study.

He is a writer, scientist, educator, researcher, inventor, story editor and producer, National Technology Policy Advisor, and a Chief Technology Officer with over 25 years experience in science & technology consulting, and commercial and military product development.^[4][5][6][7] In his position of chief science consultant for Universal Consultants, a company he also co-founded, he has provided classified work for various think tanks, and Energy companies, and has also provided extensive guidance to clients in the development of new technological products, patents, and policy positions. These clients include NASA, the National Security Agency, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Rocket Plane, the US Senate, American Medical Association, Jet Propulsion Laboratories, Heavy Mental Interactive, Mousetrap Solutions, RealPlayer, and Next Computers.^{[4][4][5][5][7][7]} Both his PhDs were earned at Purdue University - West Lafayette.

Film

Kloor is also a credited writer, director and producer.^[4][5][7] Since his graduation from Purdue University, he has written for Star Trek: Voyager and was the story editor for Gene Roddenberry's, Earth: Final Conflict, a series he co-created/developed.^[4][5][7] Kloor has received Federal grants to develop some of his work with the entertainment industry, creating TV/film projects with NASA and ICE (Immigration Customs Enforcement Agency). ^[4][5][8] He completed his first feature in 2010, co-directing, producer and writing Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey, a 3-D, computer-animated, action adventure, sci-fi program.^[4][5][7][9] In 2014, he co-wrote and produced a film titled "ILL WIND", based on Kevin Anderson's and Doug Beason's book.^[10]
