Harry Hands

Sir Harry Hands, K.B.E (1919), was a British colonial politician.

Born as a son of Josiah Hands of Kings Norton, Warwickshire in 1860, he was educated at King Edward School in Birmingham and married Aletta C., daughter of Philip Myburgh. He was a member of the legislative assembly of the Cape Colony from 1912 to 1913 and in 1916–1918 he served as mayor of Cape Town.
