Harrison Gilbertson (born June 29, 1993) is an Australian actor.

Life and career

Gilbertson was born in Adelaide, Australia, the son of Julie Sloan and Brian Gilbertson.[1] He began acting at the age of six when he played the character of Sorrow in a local production of Madama Butterfly. He made his screen debut in 2002 playing the role of Greggy in Australian Rules.[2] He is currently filming a romantic thriller based on Lauren Kate's best selling young adult novels Fallen in Hungary directed by Scott Hicks.

His big break came in 2009 when he landed the lead role of Billy Conway in Accidents Happen. Reviewers commended his performance and acting abilities.[3][4]

His US debut was in the indie Virginia, directed by Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, and starring Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris. He won the 2010 AFI Young Actor Award for his performance as Frank Tiffin in Beneath Hill 60.[5]

Also in 2014, he appeared in Need for Speed, with Aaron Paul, and the thriller ghost feature, Haunt, with Liana Liberato and Jackie Weaver. He will appear in the indie Australian produced movie My Mistress with Emmanuelle Beart, a romance about a young man who becomes infatuated with his neighbor, an S&m dominatrix.
