Harlandale High School is the flagship school for the Harlandale Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas. In 2011, the school was rated "Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[1]
History
Harlandale High School started in 1924 and has a rich history.
Mascot and school colors
The mascot is the Indian. The school colors are maroon and gold.
The Million Dollar Band From Indian Land
The Harlandale band is often referred to as the Million Dollar Band From Indian Land. The band's 2012 UIL show music is entitled "Perpetual Motion". The 2012 Drum Majors are Julia Uriegas and Felicia Ramirez.
The band's 2013 UIL show is entitled Out of the Shadows. The 2013-2014 Drum Majors are Stephanie Castro and Felicia Ramirez. During their 2013-2014 tour, the million dollar band made it to UIL Area G.
