Harin Fernando is a Sri Lankan politician, He is the current Chief Minister of Uva Province in Sri Lanka.[1] He is a member of the United National Party. Harin Fernando resigned from the Parliament of Sri Lanka on August 5, 2014 to contest as the chief ministerial candidate from the United National Party for the Uva provincial council election.

While the opposition United National Party lost in the Uva provincial council election, Harin won the highest number of preferential vote.[2] Fernando showed the majority at the Uva Provincial council on 14th January 2015 and was appointed as the Chief Minister of the province by the Governor.
