Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Hall in Harbin Railway Station

Songhuajiang station (Chinese: 松花江站; pinyin: Sōnghuājiāng Zhàn; literally: "Songhua River Railway Station") opened in October, 1899.[1] Songhuajiang Station was renamed Harbin Station in July, 1903.[2]

On October 26, 1909, Korean activist An Jung-geun assassinated Itō Hirobumi (伊藤博文), the first Prime Minister of Japan and then-Japanese Resident-General of Korea on the platform at Harbin Station. A memorial hall honoring An Jung-geun was opened on Sunday, 19 January 2014 in Harbin. The hall, a 200-square meter room, features photos and memorabilia.[3]
