The Happy Home School (also referred to as HHS) is a school in Karachi, Pakistan for children from ages three to eighteen. HHS prepares students for the Matriculation and GCE O-Level examinations, which certify that students are qualified for higher education.

History

Maryam Faruqi was born as Maryam Jaffer to a distinguished business family of Poona (modern day Pune). Faruqi enrolled in a Montessori course, after which she decided to open a Nursery school in her own house in Jamshed Road, which later became Happy Home School. Being one of the few schools in 1949, it grew rapidly. In 1952, the school was shifted to its famous domed building and the management was taken over by Modern Education Society. The school was also recognized by the Board of Secondary Education. Happy Home reached the 10th grade in 1958.
