Hanumana is a town and a nagar panchayat in Rewa district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Hanumana had a population of 14,873. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Hanumana has an average literacy rate of 53%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 64%, and female literacy is 41%. In Hanumana, 19% of the population is under 6 years of age.Hanumana place is known for "Hanuman Temple". The temple is 150 year old. The myths about temple is lord Hanuman was born here. The place was very famous in 1940 to 1970. It was business hub for domestic products. This place is border of MP and UP.
After year 2000 Hanumana become an education hub for nearby villages however its business hub image went down drastically as all villages now have their own marketplace. Now many people from nearby villages come to Hanumana to pursue a good education. Nowadays many of the students taking technical education like Engineering and MBA. Some of them working in high tech industry and few of them even settle down in USA, UK and setting up an example for the future of younger generations.

The life in hanumana is pretty simple and like typical daily routine. There is cool place to hang out is big waterfall called "Kurwa" and Temple around town.Aayush Srivastav,the maths prodigy,who is a guitar prodigy too,was born here.
Diwali and Holi are majorly celebrated festivals.
