Hans-Joachim Walde (born 28 June 1942; died 18 April 2013 in Jever) was a West German track and field athlete who competed mainly in the decathlon.[1]

Walde competed for the United Team of Germany in the 1964 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo in the decathlon, where he won the bronze medal. He returned for the 1968 Summer Olympics held in Mexico City, now representing West Germany, which had its own team then. In this decathlon he went one step up, winning the silver medal, just behind Bill Toomey of the United States.
